Brown & Loe Restaurant
Food you can bank on
Brown and Loe Restaurant is the second dining concept introduced by Harry Murphy, owner of the River Market’s popular Harry’s Country Club. Housed in a former Merchant’s Bank constructed in 1920, the restaurant honors the architectural details of the two-story building which features a façade of plate glass and verde marble floors and walls.
Brown & Loe serves lunch, dinner and a weekend brunch, and each has a slightly different personality. The menu tends toward modern comfort food with a Southern twist. The meals arrive as nothing you’d expect but everything you want even if it were your last meal.
If nothing else, pop in for a cocktail at the lush 40-foot bar. The ambiance of the former bank will infuse you with richness.

The wait staff at Brown & Loe are real pros. The food always takes a fresh twist on an original. I like to be pleasantly surprised when my entree arrives and haven’t never been disappointed at the quality and presentation and Brown & Loe.
The ambiance is on a grand scale being in a former bank. Love the plants, natural lighting and lengthy stunning bar area. There are antique scales and such scattered about for nostalgia.
