City Barrel Brewing
Voted Best Brewery by the Pitch
City Barrel is a niche brewery in the Crossroads District of Kansas City specializing in hoppy, wild and sour beer. The backdrop behind the bar is made of reclaimed wood from the world famous Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. The wood was installed in 1930 as gallery walls, until it was removed during a renovation in 2017. If you look closely, you can see many holes in the wood. The holes are from nails that hung priceless works of art.
Unlike many breweries in Kansas City, City Barrel Brewing has a full food, wine and craft cocktail menu in addition to its craft beer selections. Enjoy seasonal entrees prepared by Chef Benjamin Wood.
